Please read through this important information as you consider joining the chorus. 

Our 2026 Winter Show is titled: Jingle 2026 and features a local theme of music and traditions drawn from the San Diego region.

• Info Night will be held on Monday August 31st at 6:00 PM at our rehearsal space at UCC located at 3900 Cleveland Ave. in Hillcrest. You’ll have the opportunity to learn all about the Chorus, including the time and financial commitments required, our rehearsal schedule and our winter show, Jingle 2026 — which we'll perform on Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th, at the Magnolia Theatre in El Cajon.

Auditions will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (if needed) September 1-3, starting at 6:30 PM

• Auditions are open to ALL singers, regardless of gender, sex, gender identity/expression or sexual orientation. 
• As long as you can sing in the Tenor, Baritone, or Bass range you are welcome here :)

• Please plan to attend Info Night as an essential step to joining the chorus. Our first rehearsal is directly after Info Night, at 7 pm, and we invite you to sit in for the first half to see what it’s like.
• If you are invited to join the Chorus, you’ll be expected to attend weekly Monday night rehearsals from 7 pm – 10 pm, so please check your calendar.  

📅 CHORUS TIME COMMITTMENT:
Please check that your schedule aligns with our Winter Show rehearsal and performance schedule, as well as your future plans. Under normal circumstances, new members are asked to commit to a full year of singing three shows. After completing one full year, members are then eligible to take a leave of absence (LOA) under the membership guidelines. 

• Monday Rehearsals 
  • This show has a 14-week Rehearsal Period: Starting August 31 through December 7th
  • Rehearsals are every Monday from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at UCC located at 3900 Cleveland Ave. in Hillcrest (excluding Monday Holidays)
  • Our attendance policy allows three (3) rehearsal absences per semester. Two absences may be made up by attending an optional Saturday all-day rehearsal from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (there are two of these scheduled during a show cycle)
• Tech/Concert Week Rehearsals take place Monday thru Wednesday December 7-9, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Performance weekend is December 12th & 13th, 2026

💵 Financial commitment

• Membership dues are $95 per semester/concert cycle
• Payment plans are available, as are scholarships in return for volunteer hours. Just ask our Membership Director for moreinformation!
• Costume pieces and stage attire may need to be purchased as well depending on the show.
